Professional Service Specialist

Pay Range: $25-$30 per hour

Location: Field locations per contracted work with access to office space in Asheville or Todd, NC.

Schedule: Full Time Hourly (Non-Exempt), Minimum of 1560 hours annually (including Paid Time Off). Exact scheduling will depend on the availability of contracted work.

About the Position

The Professional Service Specialist will deliver client focused services to include inspections, trainings, and consulting as well as support the administrative efforts of the Professional Services division.  The Field Service Specialist reports to the Director of Professional Services and will have support from an Administrative Coordinator position as directed by divisional leadership. This position should be detail oriented and capable of executing assigned contracts independently.  This position will also aid in the development of staff development resources for the Professional Services division.  Additional opportunities within the construction division of Challenge Towers will exist as available.

General Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute field-based inspection, training, and consulting contracts for client(s)
  • Ensure services are conducted in compliance with ANSI/ACCT standards as well as other applicable industry standards or with respect to jurisdictional regulations.
  • Provide timely submission(s) of reports and other service related documentation.
  • Maintain applicable credentials to ensure skills and knowledge base is congruent with current industry practices and standards.
  • Maintain and assist with issuance and purchasing of equipment for the division.
  • Provide timely client communications related to contracted services.
  • Assist divisional leadership with continued development of field-based practices, field staff resources, and curriculum for the respective service areas of the division.
  • Periodically assist with inspection reports from other field staff to ensure timely delivery of contract deliverables.

Required Qualifications

  • Education – Bachelor’s Degree or Higher
  • 5+ years of field-based industry experience working at-height
  • A professional experience portfolio which demonstrates meeting or exceeding the ACCT Qualified Course Professional criteria for the respective services tasked with executing.
  • A positive, friendly, and energetic attitude
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Ability to perform independently as well as effectively request support from divisional leadership.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop actionable plans to implement positive change items in support of their work.

  • Knowledgeable with common office computer platforms (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, etc.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Versed experience with the respective services for which the position is tasked with executing.
  • ACCT Professional Inspector Certification
  • Level 2 Practitioner Certification from an ACCT PVM
  • Challenge Course Manager Certification from an ACCT PVM
  • Experience with industry practices related to installation and maintenance of challenge courses, zip lines/canopy tours, industry specific technologies (Auto Belays, Zip line braking systems, etc.)
  • Specific experience in the following technology platforms:
    • Apple OSX and iOS devices
    • Google Suite
    • Slack
    • Asana
    • Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
